LOL! I meant decided to grow my hair.

I sympathise with the hair thing - I used to have a funky quiff in 2003, then I had my dd and decided to get my hair cut (rather than deal with the hassle of going to the hairdressers as often as is needed when you have short hair) - NEED to get to a hairdressers and get it sorted out now though - but know the muppet look!

You're not far off a year younger than me (I'm 29 in a few weeks). 28 isn't so bad - but as I've got 4 children I can't agree with teresa that nothing is sagging ;)

I love the head wrap thingies on here http://www.kpixie.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=59_145 there is a decent choice of wool weight/coverage of head options.

When I wanted to grow my hair out but kept feeling ugly I knit myself a beret and wore it for 9 months solid. Come to think of it, I was probably around 28 at the time. Anyway, it got me through the awkward stage till it was long enough to do something with and didn't just stick out and look dorky.

Ah, 28...that's what age I would go BACK to if I could pick... nothing is sagging or crinkling yet but you're out of the young and stupid stage--perfection! Believe me 30 ain't no thang...40 isn't quite as fun, but you're over it by then... ;-)

Why don't you choose some of your lovely sock yarn and cast a few stitches on and knit something from here under the headband section http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/winter.html#HEADBANDS
I only thought sock yarn as sometimes the thicker stuff can look a bit like you've wrapped a scarf around your head and you want it for inside right?

Can I suggest a Panta?
Will cover your growing bits and still let your head breathe. Also good is the coif from Knitty. http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring03/PATTcoif.html

Miss Tonia

Are you looking for something that will cover all of your hair, or just something along the lines of a chemo cap? Because there is always the Odessa hat on Knitty.
