Hi Guys!
This Christmas, Fyberspates is very proud to be working with Fund for Action Through Education (FATE) to help underprivileged children in Kenya. FATE is a UK registered charity that provides these children the opportunity to get a good quality education. Their vision is that this will enable the children to get good jobs, support themselves and their families and become leaders in their communities. We are therefore delighted to be able to support them by donating £0.05p for every ‘like’ we get on Facebook on our Fyberspates Page, and our Scrumptious Page between now and Jan the 12th.
On the Fyberspates page we already have 550, so its the ‘Likes’ in
addition to this. So for example if I get 1550 kilos on that page by the
12th, then I will donate £50 for the new 1000 ‘likes’ and so on.
On the Scrumptious pages I have 75 Likes and so we start from here.
The upper limit is 10,000 likes in total across the Fyberspates and Scrumptious Yarn pages (which will make a donation of £500 to FATE)
You can find out more about the fantastic work that FATE does by visiting their website: www.fateuk.org
If you are not on Facebook or just don’t like it, please don’t worry, there will be other opportunities to do other things later on in the year :)
The reason I chose this Charity is because a Friend of mine help set it up, and so I know it does really good work :)
I haven't really had time to blog much recently, and I prefer twitter because its so interactive, BUT, I have so many pics and things to show, I need to get back in the habit... now for something fun:
Just look at this teeny tiny crochet, its so CUTE!
Read all about my TNNA trip here :D
I would have pasted it in, but for some reason its not working
xx
That got your attention didn't it! Haha, well recently we have been working on our new collection of baby patterns, its super cute and gorgeous, and was alot of fun on shoot when we did the photos.
This one is one of my absolute favourites, this is Orla Esme transfixed with a skein of yarn, she LOVED purple and it was the only way we could keep her in one place.....
Guess what? Fyberspates got the Lets Knit Indie Dyer/Spinner award for the second year in a row, how lovely is that????
I am really chuffed :)
There is a reason for the lack of blogs recently, things have been super hectic, but for good reasons, we are putting together new things for autumn which are due to be launched in the next week or so properly so I will announce these things this week, so it'll be bumper blog week.
But todays news is extra special. We have teamed up with Lantern Moon in the USA, and they are now our official distributor for Scrumptious there :)
This is really huge and exciting, as a company they are completely on the same wavelength as me, and I feel very proud to be working with them :D hehe!
